The short version

This is a free modelling tool. It produces estimates from assumptions you choose and from published benchmarks we cite. It is not a quotation, not a proposal, and not professional advice, and no result it shows is a promise of what your organisation will actually spend or save.

Use it to frame a question and to challenge a business case. Validate anything you intend to act on against your own contracts, your own invoices and your own operational data. If you use this site, you accept the terms below.

1. Who publishes this site

The MDM ROI Navigator is published and operated by Amaris Consulting, part of the Mantu group, an independent technology and management consultancy. The Apple practice within Amaris builds and maintains the cost model.

Company website: amaris.com. General and commercial enquiries: consulting@amaris.com. Privacy, data protection and requests to be deleted: privacy@amaris.com. Postal enquiries and the full corporate entity details for the Amaris company responsible for a given engagement are available on request through the Amaris contact page.

This site is hosted by Cloudflare, Inc. as a static application. Its database and email functions are operated by the processors named in the privacy notice.

2. What this site is

The MDM ROI Navigator is a set of calculators and comparison pages covering device total cost of ownership, mobile device management platforms, and the cost of running AI workloads on local hardware. It is published free of charge as a professional resource and as an introduction to the Amaris Apple practice.

It is aimed at IT, procurement and finance professionals evaluating device management options for an organisation. It is not aimed at consumers and not intended for personal use.

Nothing on this site creates a consulting relationship between you and Amaris. A consulting relationship begins only under a separate written agreement signed by both parties.

3. The figures are modelled estimates

Every number this site produces is the output of a model. It is calculated from the inputs you provide, from default assumptions you can change, and from third-party benchmarks and published list prices. Where a figure comes from is set out on the methodology page, with each source labelled as independent research, vendor-commissioned research, an analyst figure or an Amaris field estimate.

That means the following, and we would rather say it here than have you infer it:

  • No result is a quotation, an offer, or a price Amaris or any vendor is bound by.
  • No result is a forecast of what your organisation will actually spend or save. Real outcomes depend on your negotiated pricing, your sector, your existing estate, your headcount and decisions you have not made yet.
  • Vendor pricing changes without notice. Prices shown were accurate on the review date printed in the footer and may be wrong today.
  • Benchmarks published by a vendor, or commissioned by one, are labelled as such because they carry that vendor's interest. They are useful evidence, not neutral fact.
  • Defaults are starting points chosen to be reasonable, not truths about your estate. Change them.

You are responsible for deciding whether an output is fit for the purpose you want to use it for, and for validating it before you rely on it.

4. This is not professional advice

Nothing on this site is accounting, tax, legal, procurement, security or investment advice, and nothing on it should be treated as a substitute for advice from a qualified professional who knows your circumstances.

If you are building a business case, a budget submission or a board paper, treat the output of this tool as one input to be tested, not as a conclusion.

5. No warranty

The site and everything on it are provided as they are and as available, without warranty of any kind, whether express or implied, to the fullest extent the law allows. We do not warrant that the site will be uninterrupted or error-free, that defects will be corrected, or that the content, the benchmarks or the pricing are accurate, complete or current.

We may change, suspend or withdraw the site, any calculator or any page at any time, without notice, and without liability to you.

6. Liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, Amaris is not liable for any loss or damage arising from your use of this site or from reliance on anything it produces. That includes, without limitation, lost profits, lost revenue, lost or anticipated savings that did not materialise, business interruption, wasted expenditure, loss of data, loss of goodwill, and any indirect or consequential loss, in each case whether or not we were told that loss was possible.

Nothing in these terms excludes or limits our liability where the law does not allow it to be excluded or limited. That includes liability for death or personal injury caused by our negligence, for fraud or fraudulent misrepresentation, and for wilful misconduct or gross negligence.

This site is provided free of charge. Where liability can lawfully be capped, our total aggregate liability to you in connection with the site is limited to one hundred euros (€100).

7. No charges, and nothing to refund

This site is free. There is no subscription, no paywall, no trial and no upgrade. We take no payments here, we operate no checkout, and we never ask for and never store card or bank details. Because nothing is ever charged, there is nothing to refund and no cancellation to make.

If you ever see a page on this domain asking you to pay for access to a calculator or a report, it is not ours. Tell us at consulting@amaris.com.

Paid consulting engagements with Amaris are entirely separate. They are agreed in writing, and the fees, cancellation terms and any refund entitlement are governed by that signed contract and by nothing on this site.

8. Acceptable use

Use the site lawfully and for its purpose. You agree not to:

  • scrape, harvest or systematically copy the site or its underlying data in order to rebuild, resell or republish the model or the comparison content;
  • present the site's outputs as your own independent analysis, or as an endorsement, certification or recommendation by Amaris of any vendor;
  • submit anyone else's personal data to a form without a lawful basis for doing so, or send a report to a person who has not agreed to receive it;
  • attempt to gain unauthorised access to the site, its database or its infrastructure, or to interfere with its availability for others;
  • use the site in a way that breaks any applicable law, or that infringes anyone else's rights.

If you believe you have found a security vulnerability, please tell us at consulting@amaris.com and give us a reasonable opportunity to fix it before disclosing it. We will not pursue anyone who reports a genuine issue to us in good faith and does not exploit it, access other people's data, or degrade the service.

9. Your inputs and your personal data

Everything you type into a calculator is processed in your browser. It is not sent to us unless you choose to submit a form, and we say so at the point where that changes.

What we collect when you do submit a form, why we are allowed to hold it, how long we keep it and how to have it deleted are all set out in the privacy notice. What this site stores in your browser, and how to switch off the anonymous usage measurement, are set out in the cookie and local storage policy.

10. Intellectual property

The site, its design, its written content, its cost model and the structure of its comparison framework belong to Amaris Consulting or to its licensors, and are protected by copyright and other intellectual property rights.

You may read the site, and you may download, print, keep and circulate a report you generated within your own organisation, for your own internal evaluation. That is what the reports are for. You may not republish the site's content, sell it, or incorporate it into a commercial product or a paid deliverable of your own without our written permission.

Where we quote or link to a third party's research, that research belongs to its publisher and is used here as a cited reference.

11. Third-party names and trademarks

This site names commercial products in order to compare them. Apple, Jamf, Microsoft, Intune, Omnissa, Workspace ONE, Kandji, Mosyle, Addigy, Fleet and every other product and company name used here are the trademarks or registered trademarks of their respective owners.

They are used descriptively, to identify the products being discussed. Their use does not imply any affiliation with, sponsorship by, partnership with or endorsement by those companies, in either direction, and no such relationship should be inferred from their appearance on this site.

If you own one of these marks and object to how it is used here, write to consulting@amaris.com and we will deal with it.

13. Changes

We revise the model, the pricing and the benchmarks as they change, and the footer of every page shows when the data was last reviewed. We may also change these terms. The date at the top of this page tells you when they last changed, and the version on the site is the one that applies.

If a change is significant, we will say so on the page rather than leave you to spot it.

14. Governing law and jurisdiction

These terms, and any dispute or claim arising out of or in connection with them or with your use of this site, including any non-contractual dispute or claim, are governed by French law.

The courts of Paris, France have exclusive jurisdiction, except that if you are using this site as a consumer rather than in the course of a business, you keep the benefit of any mandatory protection given to you by the law of the country you live in, and you may bring proceedings in the courts of that country.

Nothing here removes any right you have under the General Data Protection Regulation, including your right to complain to the data protection authority of the country you live or work in.

15. Contact

Questions about these terms, about the model, or about anything on this site: consulting@amaris.com. Data protection and deletion requests go to privacy@amaris.com, which is monitored for that purpose.
